Sunday School Starts at 9:30 each Sunday morning.

When it comes to the issue of the sanctity of human life, there is much to consider in the context of God’s Word. From the very beginning God spoke the world into existence and breathed life literally and figuratively into humanity. The social issues of our world today challenge us as Christ followers and we must be vigilant to teach the Word of God and examine just how valuable life is to our Creator, the one who spoke life into existence. This weekend we are joining together with churches around the country and Celebrating the Sanctity of Human Life.

Secular scientists scratch their heads in wonder at the fact that our entire universe seems to benefit human life with undeniable bias. The tilt of the earth, the position in measurable distance from the sun, the atmospheric make-up of gasses seems to all favor mankind and support life. “Why is this?” they wonder. This is absent on other planets and if any of these basic things were even slightly altered, life would not be possible here on earth. God created the entire Universe and yet when it comes to Earth….There is clear evidence in the Genesis account of creation all the way through the birth, life, death, resurrection and the promised second coming of Jesus Christ that HUMAN LIFE and our reconciliation to God MATTERS a great deal to our Father. There is no doubt.

However, from the time sin entered the world, man has continued to have an affinity for shedding innocent blood. From Cain and Abel forward, violence and bloodshed continue, and we see in scripture that God, the Author of life, is grieved and angered by these acts. The world became so violent and wicked that God was sorry for creating it and began afresh through Noah and the Ark (Genesis 6-9). After the promise that the world would never again be destroyed by water, we see the redemption story of Jesus and how God made a rescue plan for us to overcome sin and death. While we wait for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are warned that wickedness will still prevail on the earth until the final day. Humans often do not value life the same way that God does.

Abortion on demand in the United States has claimed the lives of 58 million unborn children. God values all these people.
